LYTE - What we offer!
PRE-JUNIOR COMPANY QUEECHY & RIVERSIDE
Suited to our younger performers from prep to grade two our pre-junior company classes encourage confidence, communication and cooperation through a variety of Drama games and fun activities. Class are 50 minutes to an hour in length and are offered at Riverside on Thursday afternoons and Queechy on Saturday mornings. There is no production for pre-juniors but there is a parent sharing session during the year and a special performance at the Earl Arts Centre in late November.
Our Junior company is designed for students from grades 3-6 and caters for beginning students through to returning members. The first term is dedicated to skill work, ensemble building and working with scripts, with smaller classes. The classes are then combined for the following three terms to focus on our MainStage production - due to hit the theatre in late November. Our Junior Company members will also have the opportunity to be part of the annual Launceston Christmas parade.
MIDDLE COMPANY QUEECHY & RIVERSIDE
Our Middle companies cater for performers from grade 6 to grade 9. Middle company may be better suited to our more experienced grade 6 performers than junior company and our less experienced performers in grade 9 than our senior company. The first term is are dedicated to skill work, ensemble building and working with scripts, with smaller classes. The classes are then combined for the following three terms to focus on our MainStage production due to hit theatre in late November/early December 2025.
SENIOR COMPANY QUEECHY & RIVERSIDE
Our Senior company caters to students from grades 9-12. After some skill work in the first few weeks, the next 2 .5 terms are dedicated to our MainStage productions which will be held in mid/late August 2025. The remaining term will be dedicated to small group and solo performance for our 2 Senior Showcase performances - an additional in-theatre opportunity for our seniors.
LATE - LAUNCESTON ADULT THEATRE ENSEMBLE
ADULT CLASSES
Our adult classes are for anyone regardless of experience from the ages of 18 and above. Previously combining with the Queechy Senior group; in 2025 we are planning for our Adults to be able to present their own show for a minimum 2 show run in mid August.
